My values ​​(III). Creativity: the beginning of everything

Creativity and artistic expression have been fundamental pillars in my life since I was a child. They have acted as channels through which I have been able to shape my ideas and emotions in unique and enriching ways. Through writing and poetry, I have discovered the magic of words and the ability to communicate deep thoughts and complex feelings. Through science and engineering I have discovered that the welfare state, that “earthly paradise” that was the goal of the Enlightenment, is viable. Through art, in general, I have discovered that beauty is not only given by nature and God, but that it can also be created by man. But my commitment to creativity doesn't stop there.

As an engineer and chemist by training, my relationship with science becomes an additional canvas to express my creativity. Science, with its tireless search for answers and discoveries, inspires me to explore uncharted terrain and approach challenges from unusual angles. Every experiment is an opportunity for innovation and every result is a way to express a unique vision of the natural world.

Writing and poetry, on the other hand, have accompanied me since my earliest years. They have been my refuge in moments of joy and comfort in moments of sadness. Through words, I have brought imaginary worlds to life, shared deep reflections, and explored the complexity of the human condition. Writing is not only a tool of expression, but also a way to connect with others and transmit ideas that can inspire and transform.

As for visual art, my training in painting has allowed me to capture my creativity on canvas and explore beauty in its many forms. Each brush stroke is an expression of my unique perspective on the world, and each work is an opportunity to communicate emotions and visual narratives. Design and construction, for its part, have given me the ability to create physical environments that reflect my aesthetic and functional vision. Each project is a three-dimensional canvas on which I can unleash my creativity and technical skill.

This amalgamation of disciplines, which at first glance may seem disparate, becomes a multifaceted approach that enriches my life and my ability to contribute to the world. Creativity and artistic expression are not only an integral part of my being, but also a powerful tool for innovation and change. Through them, I can approach challenges from multiple perspectives and find unique solutions.

Furthermore, I have recognized the importance of the study of humanity in my pursuit of knowledge and creativity. With the firm conviction that science alone cannot reach its maximum potential without the humanistic context, after completing my studies in engineering and chemistry and having worked in the business world (dedicated to these disciplines) for 20 years , I decided to graduate in humanities. And so I am, combining all my work and projects with the Degree in Humanities, which this year in 2023 I am already going to start the third year. This comprehensive understanding of science and the humanities has become a fundamental pillar in my life, allowing me to explore areas where creativity and knowledge converge to generate significant impact. This intersection of fields reinforces my conviction that true innovation arises when science and humanism come together under the mantle of sustainability, thus opening a range of possibilities for a more enriching and promising future.

In short, creativity and artistic expression, together with scientific exploration and writing, are values ​​that permeate every aspect of my life. These forms of expression allow me to explore, communicate and create in a meaningful way. The intersection of creativity with science and my pursuit of knowledge results in a well-rounded approach that enriches both my personal life and my ability to positively impact the world around me. Creativity is, for me, a transformative force that continues to inspire and guide me on my journey.
